Carl Linnaeus and Michel Östlund together make a duo which provided the basis for the Nature Morte Exhibition which will be inaugurated on the 25th of October in the Polish Maritime Museum in Gdańsk. The exhibition is one of the events celebrating Linnaeus’ 300th birthday and has been organised by the Consulate General of Sweden in Gdansk.

The exhibition presents a part of the landscape of the Middle Vistula Valley. Heroic admirals, fierce wars conducted with Sweden and memorable battles for free sailing on the Baltic Sea are the main topic of our new exhibition entitled "For the freedom of sailing. The Dutch Admiralty fighting for access to the Baltic Sea in the 16th–17th centuries". The exhibition is available in the Granary Hall (Spichlerze) on Ołowianka Island from the 20th of June.

They almost certainly remember emotions which accompanied unpacking the box found on Christmas, laying convoluted tracks, putting locomotive and wagons in correct order and making all the machinery move around with characteristic whistling sounds.
