Skanska S.A. and ComplexJacht for the Shipwreck Conservation Centre

Two agreements of a crucial importance to the Project involving the construction of Shipwreck Conservation Centre with Studio Warehouse in Tczew had been signed in August.

At the end of July the winning open tender for the construction of the Shipwreck Conservation Centre with Studio Warehouse in Tczew had been selected. The decisive criterion of bid evaluation was the price, however the Contractors were expected to fulfill the requirements from the terms of reference. Out of nine parties that presented an offer the one coming from the firm Skansa S.A. presented itself as the most advantageous.

In the beginning of August construction site of the Shipwreck Conservation Centre in Tczew, located on the Padarewski street, has been handed over to Skanska S.A. The date for the commencement of erecting the new facility depends on the speed of the existent buildings' demolition as well as installation of the necessary service wiring and construction site preparation.

The Tczew Centre cornerstone is due to be embedded in the second half of November 2014. The Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Małgorzata Omilanowska, confirmed preliminarily her participation in the ceremony.

On fifth of August the historic yachts have been moved from the warehouse buildings. "Kumka IV", "Dal" and "Opty" set out to Puck where their conservation and modernization will be handled by the firm ComplexJacht Sebastian Kulling. The firm from Puck has an experience in such tasks - three years ago it renewed the hull of the sailing ship "Generał Zaruski".
